What's Coming Up For December

Hello my blog friends! How are you all? I'm doing well! I've been busy around my house, cleaning, organizing, and putting things in a pile to give to Goodwill. I'm still not finished; but next week I will, hopefully! Last week I did not blog a lot because I was taking care of my mom and cleaning house, but I wanted to write a short post for you today, and share what's coming up for December.

December is one of my favorite times of the whole year! Besides it being the month where my favorite holiday is, I love the joy people have during this time, the decor, shopping for others, getting cozy with hot cocoa, and just enjoying the season! I'm planning on putting together some great posts for this coming month; including my reveals for the Christmas card and ornament exchanges I've been a part of. I'm also going to link up with "Christmas Cheer To The Blogosphere"; which you can also be a part of. Click the picture below and you'll find how you can link up your Christmas crafts, recipes, and more. It sounds like a LOT of fun; so I plan on participating and I hope you will too!

Also, I'm brainstorming some ideas to better my Wedding Wednesday features. Since this is the season a lot of people get engaged; I'm thinking of broadening my wedding topics, starting with the very first step in the wedding planning process, and then continuing on with other steps. I also really want to start posting on party related things as well. I would LOVE if you all would help me in gaining ideas, or tell me what you would like to see; or need help with. If you have questions, ideas, or advice; click the picture below to let me know!

So what do you think about my December plans, for this classy blog? Let me know and, seriously, tell me what you'd like to see! What are your blog plans for the upcoming month of December?

Until next time,

{Birchbox} November: Give

It's Birchbox time! YAY! I've been a member of Birchbox for a few months now, and I'm still excited to receive a box in my mail, and open it to see the month's new goodies! For this month, November, the theme is "Give"; that fits with Christmas approaching. Okay, and with out further chit chat, here is my box:

Atelier Cologne | Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue: This perfume is supposed to have "spicy ginger and a touch of bergamont. Also, "rose scent" and "sexy". I think it is far from being sexy smelling; it pretty much smells like a kind of old lady perfume.

Lulu Organics | Lavender & Clary Sage Hair Powder: This is an organic dry shampoo. I haven't used it yet, but it will be interesting to find out how well it works!

Miracle Skin Transformer | Vanish Instant Imperfection Corrector: This is a primer, which has "optical diffusers that mask imperfections". I'm REALLY interested to find out how well this works.

ModelCo | FIBRE LASHXTEND Lengthening Mascara: This mascara "uses tiny lash-extending fibers to give you a lengthy fringe". Although I don't like wearing black mascara, I'm interested to try this product out. I love the packaging, with a little mirror on the side; perfect for on the go!

Chuao Chocolatier | 7-pack Assorted ChocoPod: When I got to this part of the box; I was super excited! It's a potato chip dipped in "Venezuelan cacao". I hope this makes my taste buds happy!

Also included in this month's box, was a Holiday 2012 Gift Guide. Each page has gift ideas for a particular type of person or personality. They even included a sneak at the Birchbox Home Edition; looks nice! If you would like to learn how to do the glitter ribbon, shown in the picture above, to dress up your packages, visit the Birchbox Blog here.

Lastly: There was a little pillow box filled with a few of the items for this month. What stuck out to me, about this box, was the cover. It has "give" in big font, with instructions to fill the box with something that will make someone you choose smile. An idea came to me to send the box around to different people, and each person receives something, then that person fills the box again, and finally sends it off to the next person;it continue to go on and on. Get it? Hum... I think I may start something with this idea. Let me know what you think?

So, how did you all like your Birchboxes this month? What have you tried, liked, disliked?

Update on Mom

Hello my friends! How are you all doing this Monday evening? I've been super busy, as usual. This post is just to give you an update and some thoughts on my mom.

My mom FINALLY started her Chemotherapy on Friday. By the second day the symptoms began. It's been three days and she's been able to do nothing but lie down in her bed. She's been taking her medicines, vitamins and drinking plenty of fluids. But I hate to have to see her in pain, unable to do anything, and there's really nothing to do but wait it out. We were told what the side effects were going to be, but it's different when it actually starts to happen. This is the first treatment and we have nine more to go.

Yesterday, it kind of hit me that this is really happening. I may see my mother in a way I've never seen her before. I'm going to have to take care of her; instead of her taking care of me. Again, this is only the first treatment and I pray that the symptoms don't progress as more treatments come. I have to keep putting my mind, into the mindset that this Chemo is fighting the bad and getting it out for good. But this is serious stuff and I wonder when other side effects will occur. I wonder if I'm emotionally ready, if those side effects happen, to see my mom's hair fall out, see her looking sick, unable to get out of the house because of the pain. I don't want these things to happen. My mom has ALWAYS been a strong woman, and I know she'll be strong through this. But I don't want her to have to go through these things. I know I am strong and have the faith to get me though anything. I know God is with us and will not forsake us, that we will come out in the end stronger, healed, with it all behind us. But sometimes it's hard.

Please remember my mom and I, as you pray or have quiet time with God. I thank you so, so very much! I will pray that God blesses you in return! Follow my twitter for updates here and there of the journey.

Wedding Wednesday: My Favorite Wedding Blogs

I could spend an entire day pouring over the online pages of wedding blogs; as a matter of fact, I have done just that. The beautiful pictures of details and projects give me so much inspiration, that I get carried away and loose track of time. Sometimes it makes my mind so inspired I just want to whip up something of my own, right then and there.

Today, wedding blogs have become a number one resource to brides planning their weddings; that's great, because I have a wedding blog! YAY! Not only are they inspiration for brides, but they're also a great resource for planner, like myself. So today, I'm going to share my top favorite wedding blogs that I go to for a resource, inspiration, and ideas.

Written by Amy and Jocey, The Wedding Chicks focuses on weddings, wedding fashion, wedding decor and diys. I especially LOVE this site because of all the free project printables, phone wallpapers, step by step instructions on bouquet making, hair styles, and diys. This site has an abundance of ideas and inspiration; it's totally worth checking out!

Written by several different writers, Southern Weddings is a blog focusing on real southern weddings and southern event details. They also have a magazine in digital and print form. Since I live in the peach state, which is the south, this magazine hones in on ideas for southern bred brides; which helps me to find what southern brides like and want.

Written by Alison, The Knotty Bride is a wedding blog that is "a world of inspiration and all the answers you’ll need to make your wedding the ultimate celebration of who you are." I really like the boudoir posts, which is a popular trend before the wedding, that are featured regularly. Of course, with the title, you will find some interesting topics and "Girl Talk".

Written by Kat Williams, Rock N' Roll Bride is for the off beat bride who is not looking for a "cookie cutter" wedding experience, but in creating a wedding that defines you! I like this site because you can find many off beat, different ideas. This is not a site for dainty brides, but for boldly courageous brides who want to express their individuality in their wedding!

Jasmine Star's blog is more of a photography blog; but within the pages, you'll find tips on shooting weddings, business behind the scenes, and her own photography shoots. Jasmine is a very talented photographer and you just may find something you like there.

So there you go, my top favorite wedding blogs! Have you visited them before? If you haven't, check them out; you'll LOVE what you find! Also, remember if you have any wedding or event planning questions, you can bring your questions to me at my formspring page, or by clicking the link in my right sidebar. I'd like to know what other wedding blogs you've come across; let me know in the comments!

Pearls Are A Girl's Best Friend

Diamonds are mainly the best friend to many girls, but I like pearls! Pearls evoke a sense of timeless beauty to me. Looking at old pictures and movies in past eras, such as the 20s, you will always find a girl wearing pearls. They're beautiful creations made from oysters in the ocean; some are even rare!

Pearls can be worn with practically anything; from jeans, summer dresses, capris, cozy sweaters, or beautiful dresses; pearls instantly create an ordinary look into something timeless! Just check out Audrey Hepburn; she wore pearls and she is regarded as a timeless beauty.

Although I love the sparkle and glam of diamonds; pearls, to me, will always remain classic, timeless, and classy!

Happy Election Day my fellow Americans! Did you go out and vote? I did and below is my sticker for my achievement!

Sometime early in the morning hours, I guess we'll find out who won the presidency. I may still be up when the announcement comes in. I pray that the candidate who wins, helps turn America back into a great nation that it was envisioned to be, long ago.

Have a great rest of the night!
